NEW INSPIRATION AND ENTHUSIASM ON NETWORKING EVENTS

13/14 October 2008 During the course of a week, we had the opportunity of visiting two networking events: Hard/t voor Internationale Samenwerking Delft (Hard/t for International Cooperation in Delft) and an evening of Business & the society Both events provided us with a good deal of new inspiration and enthusiasm.

Hard/t voor IS Delft is a network of organisations based in Delft, that are involved with the International Cooperation. Sara Kinsbergen, a researcher at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, presented the results of her research into private initiatives (PI) (which is what we are too). We will take into consideration her analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of a ' PI when setting out the project, so that we will avoid known pitfalls. Moreover, we have made many meaningful contacts with other initiatives, which will be able to provide us with substantive advice. Read the full report from the event by COS Haaglanden, the organiser of the evening.

The following evening, we attended an evening of knowledge at BenS Delft. Here we received information and advice from funds, the council and the director of Theater de Veste about 'the how and why' of fundraising and obtaining grants. We were also able to give a presentation about the creative session that we had recently held for new ideas for fundraising. Afterwards, we received many enthusiastic reactions from the audience about our approach, the portrayal of the project and the ideas that we have.

Both evenings boosted our enthusiasm and confidence in the project and the approach. We are really curious what will come out of the various contacts that we made.
