QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

How does it work?
We hope that you will support the project by donating one or two free days to the foundation. The initiative is supported by the dean of the faculty, as the faculty is promoting students' initiatives. Donating is very simple and can be done in three steps:

  • 1. Check how many free days you have left in TIM at http://hours.tudelft.nl
  • 2. Fill in the online form on the website.
Fill in your name, department and TU email address.
You can choose to donate 1 or 2 days.
  • 3. Confirm your donation in the confirmation email you'll receive.

Example
In the year 2008 you had 320 hours free + 112h left from 2007+432h
You had 4 weeks leave last year, which is 20 days- 160h
You planned 6 days off (during Christmas) - 48h
You are allowed to take a maximum of 112h into 2009 - 112h
You are allowed to cash a maximum of 76h - 76h
Left over at the end of 2008 36h

These four days (36h) are lost if you do not take any action. It's very simple: just fill in the online form.

What does it cost me?
A free day donation won't cost you anything. The faculty will pay the value of a free day to the foundation Water for Philippines.

Can the Foundation keep me updated on the progress of the project?
You can sign up for our newsletter or send an email to info[at]watervoorfilippijnen.nl

Can I donate more than 2 free days?
No. It is agreed with the faculties to limit the donation to a maximum of 2 days. You can of course give a donation or gift besides this initiative. Since the foundation is labelled as ANBI-foundation your donation has tax advantages.

I am not a PhD Student. Can I also donate my leftover (unused) "vacation" days?
Unfortunenately not. The 'Donate-a-free-day' action is only available for PhD students
